Job Title : Warehouse Associate - Unloading and Receiving

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Associate, primarily working in the unloading and receiving departments. You will play a crucial role in managing freight flow by unloading trucks, palletizing materials, and ensuring products are processed efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Unload 18-wheelers at assigned dock, palletize materials, and use conveyance systems.
• Move products directly to shipping without adding to inventory, as needed.
• Identify, separate, count, combine, and scan freight using Warehouse Management System terminal, scales, and scanners.
• Handle and process freight safely, report unsafe work conditions, and maintain a clean work area.
• Load trucks by placing heavier items on the bottom and lighter items on top, ensuring proper material handling.
• Enter and locate information on a computer or system communication device, and write documents or reports if needed.
• Primarily work near the dock with significant lifting and loading, but minimal walking.

Work Environment

The distribution center is over one million square feet and is not climate controlled, making it hot and tiring in the summer.

Some departments require more movement and walking. The building is 30 years old, so there will be dust and occasional spills.

The dress code requires longer shorts, tennis shoes, and vests to be worn at all times.
