Salary : $21.63-$24 / Hour

About the Position

The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance to the Foreman and the physical labor required to complete property landscape maintenance or landscape enhancement projects in a proper, efficient, and safe manner within the budgeted hours.

Responsibilities

Typical activities include, but are not limited to :

• Perform landscape maintenance or installation of plants as assigned by Foreman, Maintenance Supervisor or Account Manager.
• Communicate client requests to Foreman in order to determine if it is within the client’s contracted scope of work.
• Operate a variety of landscape maintenance hand tools such as shovels, rakes, saws, and pruners in a safe and responsible manner.
• Operate power equipment and other vehicles such as mowers, chainsaws, weed eaters, backpack leaf blowers, turf aerators and gas hedge trimmers in a safe and responsible manner.
• Load and unload equipment and supplies necessary to complete assignments such as mowers, weed eaters, mulch, trash, and topsoil.
• Install and maintain landscape features such as mulching, sod, plant installation and minor landscape feature repair.

Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 60 lbs safely on one’s own
• Ability and willingness to work 4 days per week with minimal unplanned absences. (Overtime hours available throughout the season as weather and schedule permits.

4 day work weeks / 3 day weekends as weather and schedule permits.)

• Proactive, organized and reliable team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to use smartphone applications to request time off
• Legally authorized to work in the United States, we participate in E-Verify.
• Ability to work safely, in hot, cold, dry, or wet weather up to 10 hours per day.

Helpful But Not Required

• Professional landscaping experience.
• Driving record and license in good standing
