Job Description
The primary responsibility is to assist the surgeon during surgical procedures, ensuring efficiency and safety.
This includes identifying anatomy within the operative field and maintaining positive customer relations.
The Surgical Assistant should demonstrate competency and possess the technical skills necessary for their assigned cases.
They work under the supervision of the manager of the Surgical Assistant s.
Requirements for this position include extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, excellent eye-hand coordination, and the ability to stand for long periods.
Sound judgment and knowledge of scientific principles are essential.
Education :
2 years of college or specialty school in surgical assisting.
Licenses, Registrations, & Certifications :
NSAA, CFA in the AST, AA-C in the AAPA, or CRNFA in the ONA OR, BLS.
Certification : Basic Life Support
