Job Description

  • Select measuring methods and develop inspection plans for high complexity CNC and progressive die stamped parts.
  • Develop and validate CMM programs in accordance with internal and external customer quality requirements.
  • Lead MSA activity, Gage R&R Studies, Process Risk Studies (FMEA), Process Capability Studies (SPC) in a practitioner capacity.
  • Provide information to production cell for process monitoring controls and machine adjustment.
  • Perform lot acceptance activity including over-check of product, creation of certificate packages, and verification of supplier material and processes.
  • Perform layout inspections for first piece and first article activity.
  • Perform internal audits and provide external audit support as directed by management team.
  • Lead root cause corrective action activity to address customer complaints.
  • Assist with quality assurance and production continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with quality system maintenance and development of detailed work instructions for inspectors and operators.

Experience

3-5 years in a similar or related function.

Education, Licensees, Certifications

BS Degree or Equivalent Experience

CQE / ASQ certifications a plus

Six Sigma certification a plus

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications

Proficient knowledge of ISO9001, 13485 and AS9100 quality system requirements

Knowledge of AS13000 series quality tools

Proficient with MS office tools

Good communication skills
