We are inviting applications for the role of a Cyber Security Engineer located in Manhattan Beach, California. The successful individual will be part of a dynamic team, focusing on safeguarding our systems, networks, and data across various environments.
The role involves implementing security controls, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting security audits, and leading incident response, amongst other duties.
Responsibilities :
- Implement and monitor security controls across various environments including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid systems to ensure the safety of networks and data.
- Ensure company's adherence to industry standards and regulations such as NIST, CMMC, ITAR.
- Regularly conduct security audits, risk analysis, and vulnerability assessments to identify potential gaps and propose remedial actions.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards in line with industry's best practices including NIST SP 800-171.
- Lead the process of identifying, investigating, and responding to security incidents, ensuring timely mitigation and resolution.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on compliance status and security metrics for senior management and external auditors.
- Use advanced Cyber Security skills including Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Technologies, Cloud Technologies, Firewall Technologies, AB Testing, Auditing, AWS Technologies, and Configuration Management to enhance the security posture of the organization.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or in a related role.
- Proficiency in Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Technologies, Cloud Technologies, Firewall Technologies.
- Familiarity with AB Testing, Auditing, AWS Technologies, Configuration Management, and Cyber Security.
- A clear understanding of how to identify and defend against threats to cybersecurity.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex technical information.
- A degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of current cybersecurity trends and hacker tactics.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature.
