We have an immediate opportunity for an Electro-Mechanical Assembler to build electrical and mechanical subassemblies and integrate them into higher level assemblies used in Semiconductor testing equipment.
Job Description
In this position, you will work with electrical or electronic components, such as modules, circuit boards, wiring harnesses, machined parts, and commercial fasteners, etc.
This role involves following repetitive production standards so we will consider any applicant with manual dexterity and electro-mechanical aptitude.
Successful Electro-Mechanical Assembler candidates need to have the ability to use electrical assembly hand tools such as crimpers, cutters, drivers, soldering tools as well as mechanical assembly tools, i.
e. hand drills, wrenches, drivers is required.
Duties and Responsibilities include :
- Ability to read and interpret BOM’s, Work Instructions, Travelers, Blueprints, Routers, and Engineering Change Notices to include Engineering modifications and designs.
- Mechanical Assembly of complex components with the ability to follow engineering blueprints and assembly sequences with care and accuracy.
- Fitment and inspection of assembly is necessary to ensure product has met desired requirements.
- Electrical Assembly of complex components where a high degree of problem-solving with care and accuracy.
- Routes, wires, assembles, and installs electrical and electronic components in cabinets, electronics enclosures and on assembled machines to complete functionality of integrated components according to specifications.
- Cuts wire to specified lengths, using wire cutters using soldering gun and hand tools.
- Crimps terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping devices.
- Routes, combs, twists, wraps, ties, and attaches wire to terminal points, according to layout, using soldering gun and hand tools.
- Conducts functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harness, and plugs, using ohmmeter, test lights, and other electrical testing instruments.
- Perform electrical and mechanical tests on finished products before packaging.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Complete other tasks as necessary.
Requirements :
- A high school diploma or GED certificate.
- Proficiency with all basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
- Proficiency with electrical test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Possess manual dexterity to put electrical or mechanical parts together quickly and accurately.
- Both Mechanical and Electrical aptitude including the ability to follow directions.
- Ability to read and follow electro-mechanical assembly drawings, procedures and schematics
- Proficiency with computer hardware and software
- Attention to detail and ability to retain communicated information
- Appropriate communication skills to convey information to other associates and supervisors
- Understands when to request guidance from superiors and proper chain of command
- Ability to Bend / kneel, stoop / crouch and twist / turn frequently.
- Standing up to 7 hours
- The employee must frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 50lbs.
