RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF AQUATICS :
- Supervise and oversee aquatics staff and all operations of the aquatics department
- Develope and implement innovative approaches to promoting aquatics programs and pool usage
- Maintain lifeguard certificaton level of readiness at all times
- This is not an exhaustive list of job duties. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS TO BE A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF AQUATICS :
- Minimum age of 21
- A passion for aquatics and aquaitcs safety
- YMCA Team Leader Certification preferred
- Minimum of four years working as a lifeguard, swim instructor, water fitness instructor or swim coach
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
