Malace HR is seeking a Tool Services Supervisor to lead our UAW employees in tool setting, grinding operations, and tool delivery.
This role requires strong leadership and technical knowledge in cutting tools to enhance operational efficiency and provide exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities :
- Team Leadership : Supervise and develop a team of 5-10 UAW employees, promoting a high-performance work environment.
- Training & Compliance : Ensure operator training and certification meet GMS requirements to support cutting tool initiatives.
- Resource Management : Optimize the use of personnel, materials, and equipment for BPD initiatives.
- Safety Standards : Implement safety and housekeeping standards according to GMS BIQ Level 4.
- Customer Service : Deliver excellent service to both internal and external customers.
- Technical Support : Provide expertise to manufacturing departments to improve productivity.
- Problem Solving : Communicate with external contacts to resolve issues effectively.
- Work Assignments : Ensure tasks are completed within budget and time constraints.

Education & Skills Required :
- Experience : High School Diploma or GED; experience in cutting tools and supervision preferred.
- Technical Skills : Knowledge of cutting tools and grinding equipment; ability to read blueprints.
- Communication : Strong oral and written skills; effective interpersonal skills.
- Analytical Ability : High-level analytical skills to tackle complex problems.
- Software Proficiency : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Demand Requirements :
- Ability to work in various manufacturing conditions, including prolonged standing or sitting.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
