SharePoint Server Admin

Overview

Encantado Technical Solutions is seeking a qualified SharePoint Server Admin to help support the SharePoint on-prem infrastructure (unclassified and classified environments) at a major Department of Energy Laboratory in Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities

Candidate will be responsible for the O&M tasks, such as handling :

• Tier-3 tickets, patching, and upgrades for the environments.
• Some after-hours work will be required in support of the team.
• The candidate will need to be a highly motivated and self-driven individual with a strong background in Information Technology and would need to work well in a team environment, learn new concepts quickly, and work independently on tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems plus 2 years related experience; OR an Associate's degree in related field plus 5 years' experience;

OR eight (8) years' experience in a similar field

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with SharePoint on-premises
• US Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q Clearance.

Required experience & skills :

• Experience solving tier-3 SharePoint tickets
• Experience administering on-premises SharePoint 2016
• Windows Server patch management

Desired experience & skills :

• Experience administering on-premises Microsoft services, including but not limited to : PowerBi Report Server, Microsoft
• SQL Server Reporting Services
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in an ITIL centered environment
• Aptitude for learning quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to self-motivate and complete tasks from multiple sources, including ticketing systems and email
• Passion for providing excellent customer service
• Virtualized server administration
• Automating business processes utilizing Microsoft services such as : PowerShell, Power Automate, Azure Applications, etc.
