SUMMARY
The Associate Account Manager role within the CPU, requires an individual who is professional and courteous, and who displays drive, determination, proactive mindset, and self-motivation.
With a positive attitude, the AAM will work with the team comprising of all levels of service and sales. The individual in this position is expected to be pursuing a career in Bonds / Commercial Insurance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Team support includes but is not limited to :
- Working directly with producers, clients and carriers on bond request and file updates
- Issue and forward certificates of insurance
- Bond Requests pull information from construction reporter / request & submit for approval
- Under-run & Over-run Billings for bond close outs
- Service Miscellaneous Bonds associated with contract clients
- Order and follow up on policy change endorsements
- Check incoming policy change endorsements, and if accurate, forward to insured
- If the endorsement is not correct, return to carrier for corrections
- Order Motor Vehicle Records and distribute as directed
- Make notebook tabs for new and renewal policies the team wants to deliver or mail
- Assist staff as needed and as time allows
Additional Responsibilities include but not limited to :
- Acts as a liaison between clients and surety carriers to resolve service issues.
- Provide professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners and HUB colleges, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations
- Process Bonds as per established Agency guidelines with clients and surety carriers
- Maintain department reports as request by team and / or supervisor
- Maintenance of department carrier information and website management
- Adhere to all Agency systems, procedures, and state regulations
- Assume other job responsibilities as requested by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent; AA and / or college degree preferred
- 1 year professional / insurance experience preferred but not necessary
- Demonstrate proficiency with computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, and agency management systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Above average mathematical skills
- Ability to work in a positive team environment
- A P&C License is expected to be obtained within 60 days of employment
- Ability and willingness to utilize company’s computer system and software required.
- Ability to understand policy forms and coverage descriptions required.
- Organizational skills required.
- Must attend educational classes.
