Position Summary :
This Manager is responsible for BOM purchasing including direct / indirect raw materials of our cell BU in Indiana States U.S.A.
Primary Responsibilities :
1. Strategy Development : Build up strategic purchasing deployment plan for BOM purchasing and lead the team to achieve the target and annual operating plan.
2. Team Management : Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of purchasing professionals to achieve departmental and organizational targets.
Develops, communicates, and enforces company policies and procedures for purchasing. Reviews and approves purchases up to a specified dollar amount
3. Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the purchasing team operations
4. Vendor Management : Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Controlling and monitoring of supplier performance and delivery reliability to the production line.
5. Risk Management : Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity
6. Inventory Management : Oversee inventory planning, forecasting, and optimization to minimize stock outs while maximizing inventory turnover and continuously improving with new tools and sourcing processes.
7. Logistics Optimization : Implement strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.
8. Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, not only Supply Chain departments, but also Production, R&D, Quality and Sales to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives.
9. Compliance : Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies in all purchasing chain activities.
10. Budget planning : for long-term and short-term business development
11. Be involved in production planning, material costing and customer coverage
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, master’s degree preferred.
8 years of Multinational Corporation manufacturing experience in Purchasing
Strong track records of successful Purchasing management improvement in a highly cross-functional environment
Experience in managing a high mix low volume supply base.
Extensive experience with ERP environments, strong SAP knowledge is an advantage.
Strong leadership qualities, and a proven ability to combine complex technical and business requirements to make difficult decisions.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required, bilingual Mandarin speakers preferred.
