Pali Painter

Pali Mountain is seeking full-time Painter to help maintain our beautiful site.

We operate as a summer camp, outdoor education facility, and retreat center.

We are near, within driving distance of, Lake Arrowhead, Big Bear and Crestline.

Responsibilities : Including but not limited to :

Interior and exterior pain of entire camp and all related offsite housing. Sanding, scraping, repair of damaged areas, drywall repair as needed, replace trim, facia, and siding as needed.

Prime and paint with proper paints for the given application.

In the off season, may be required to assist with snow removal. Shoveling, salting, sand bagging, etc.,...

The above description of duties are examples and may go beyond these and include duties as assigned. Pali has guests and operates 365 days a year, this includes inclement weather.

Pali staff will have access to tools for work and may have access to on-site transportation to get around the site and access to the shop during work hours.

Duties are dependent on program needs as well as issues that come up. Pali serves guests of all age, projects and maintenance occur while guests are on-site, so safety is paramount.

Painters report to our Facilities Director.

Requirements : Ability to communicate in English both written and verbally. General painting knowledge including interior and exterior grade paints.

Ability to use paint spraying equipment, rollers, brushes, etc.... Attention to detail. Ability to clean and maintain all painting equipment.

Knowledge of proper masking and preparation procedures. General woodworking and construction repair methods. Ability to use common wood working power tools.

Ideal Candidate(s) have :

• Reliable Transportation Pali Operates year-round
• Ability to be self-motivated and solution oriented.
• Physically able to lift 50lbs, walk-up three flights of stairs, bend, kneel, stoop, squat, work outdoors in inclement weather, use hand tools such as shovels, ability to use power tools
• Ability to work in a team
• Strong work ethic

Hourly position, $20
