Truly Good Foods has sales and distribution offices in Orlando FL, Atlanta GA, Washington DC, Reno NV, Dallas TX and Charlotte, NC.

Our SQF, Kosher and organic production facility in Charlotte roasts nuts & seeds daily and blends over 60 bulk snack mixes.

These facilities also package and re-box many of our items to meet our customers’ varied needs. Charlotte is our corporate headquarters, and is home to purchasing, accounting, and sales & marketing offices.

Job Summary

The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans with emphasis in channel-focused marketing models.

Specific areas of expertise include digital marketing and marketing operations. Ability to execute strategic plans and tactical action.

Specific accountability will include building impactful relationships across multiple levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Channel Marketing Strategy :

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for each foodservice customer channel, considering unique demographics and preferences.
  • Manage marketing activities to support and drive key results, sales and profit growth, and account penetration. Maximize opportunities in key market segments.
  • Develop detailed project plans and lead cross-functional teams to meet critical deadlines, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Assess local sponsorship and partnership opportunities with marketing leadership.

Marketing Operations Optimization :

  • Facilitate linkage between Hubspot Marketing and Sales capabilities and collaborate to develop digital solutions for customer needs.
  • Implement and optimize sales and marketing processes for seamless execution of channel-specific campaigns.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient workflows and timely delivery of marketing-led initiatives.

Sales Collaboration :

  • Work in tandem with sales teams to understand customer needs, market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with sales to align channel strategies with revenue and growth targets.
  • Build sales enablement materials and support to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Lead the end-to-end build and implementation of channel marketing campaigns, including content creation, promotional materials, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies for optimal results.

Brand Development & Positioning :

  • Drive brand development initiatives specific to each customer channel, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning.
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to create visually compelling and on-brand materials.

Analytics & Reporting :

  • Utilize data analytics tools to measure and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns.
  • Provide detailed reports on key performance indicators and actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Scope of Responsibility

  • This job is responsible for budgetary analysis, preparation, and review.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Language Ability : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to read and understand English.

Math Ability : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business platforms.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in marketing or related field from four-year college or university; and ten plus years related experience in marketing, with specific focus on customer channel marketing within the food industry a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years prior leadership experience, direct managerial experience demonstrating the ability to lead and manage a team of sales professionals in the foodservice industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication abilities.
  • Results-oriented, with strong organizational skills, project management skills, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Marketing automation experience preferred, with Hubspot CRM platform expertise a plus.
  • Practical knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Solid understanding of digital KPIs.
  • Ability to identify and interpret market trends and analytics.
  • Passion to challenge the status quo, find innovative solutions, and drive out of the box ideas.
  • Not afraid to roll up sleeves with individual contributor responsibilities; seeks to go beyond comfort to learn.

Travel Required

The employee may be required to travel up to 20% of the time by air and / or land.

Physical Demands

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
