Objectives of this Role :
- Perform engineering and / or scientific analyses and other activities necessary to support the Environmental and Safety Systems (ESS) department related to environmental compliance.
- Assist staff in maintaining and improving environmental programs, including waste, air quality, water, wastewater, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Prepare regulatory compliance documents for review / submittal in support of environmental compliance programs.
- Perform campus-wide surveillance activities related to environmental compliance and support continuous improvement of environmental programs.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities :
- Develop and / or update procedural documents for regulatory compliance.
- Perform campus-wide surveillance activities related to environmental compliance.
- Collect and compile data for regulatory reporting.
- Review potential environmental impacts of new research programs / activities.
- Support existing Environmental Management System implementation and recordkeeping.
Requirements :
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or related earth science discipline.
- 0-3 years : Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- 0-3 years : Detail oriented, with exceptional problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- 0-3 years : Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently or with a team, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- A valid / clear driver's license is required.
