Responsibilities :
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to rectify billing errors and discrepancies
- Manage billing, collections, and payment posting processes with attention to detail and accuracy
- Contact clients / patients regarding overdue accounts and provide assistance in resolving payment issues
- Liaise with insurance companies to track claim statuses, investigate denials, and initiate appeals when necessary
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all posted payments
- Negotiate reasonable payment plans for patients experiencing financial difficulties
- Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance organizations
- Resolve financial discrepancies and monitor missed payments
- Maintain and update billing software, including cash spreadsheets and collection reports
- Uphold quality standards in all billing processes
- Manage accounts receivable (insurance / patient) and facilitate weekly statement mailings
Qualifications :
- 2 years+ of Medical Billing experience
- High school diploma or GED
