Introduction to Online IPS :
A fast growing privately held fintech international payments company is looking to hire a Jr. Risk & Underwriting Administrator with merchant acquiring experience.
International Processing Solution (Online IPS) operates a global merchant services company with its own technology platform.
Our clients and banking partners conduct global ecommerce through the transfer of value and information utilizing our payments platform.
We offer a range of payment products from credit and debit cards to regional specific alternative payment methods such as boleto and PIX.
We believe in a results-focused work environment that emphasizes the overall mission of the company through a one team approach.
The Jr. Risk & Underwriting Administrator will be responsible for implementing underwriting and risk protocols, methods and documentation for merchant clients and partners as assigned and related administrative support for the senior management team at IPS.
The position will be based in IPS’ office in North Miami Beach, Florida, and will have significant focus on coordinating with merchants and banking partners located in USA, Latin America and Europe.
Position Overview :
Online IPS is looking for a Jr. Risk & Underwriting Administrator to join our energetic team. You will be part of a dynamic and diverse multi-national team working in a fast paced and fun environment.
Reporting to the Director of Underwriting & Risk, you will be responsible to complete daily scheduled reporting tasks, advanced analyses to help mitigate financial and reputational risk to the company, as well as managing incoming prospective merchant files through the boarding process.

You will dedicate time to stay up to date with industry trends in the payment processing space. You will take on any ad-hoc tasks as assigned to be part of the team and be sensitive to the urgency to put the customer always first with timely responses.
You are comfortable communicating with internal and external stakeholders via written and verbal communication.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance a plus
- Bilingual in either or both Spanish / Portuguese and English a plus
- Basic Data Scientist skills a plus
- Advanced in Excel, Word (Macros, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas, Graphs)
- Analytical mindset with an independent critical investigative approach to problem solving
- Able to calculate and interpret financial and other statistical ratios associated with acquiring industry
- Good communication skills to both internal and external stakeholders
- Can-do attitude, self-starter and able to work independently. Comfortable to take ownership of own initiatives while always putting the goals of team and company first
- 1-2 years in the merchant services industry with experience specific to fraud and risk
- High level of curiosity and risk awareness
- Exhibit a sense of urgency and initiative to addressing issues.
- Ability to think strategically with owner mentality
Responsibilities :
- Work with agents and clients to obtain and organize application files for prospective client merchants.
- Perform initial assessments of merchant boarding viability and conditions, according to company defined protocols.
- Maintain current prospect data and boarding pipeline status information in CRM and file systems, coordinating tasks and staff input as required.
- Report and escalate boarding obstacles to appropriate management as conditions require.
- Coordinate with client support and other staff to effectively advance clients from boarding into operating production status.
- Manages changes to client agreements, service levels and administrative provisioning.
- Monitor and investigate merchants’ processing activities
- Create reports, summaries, presentations, and process documents to display results of account performance trends and variances
- Aggregate data from multiple sources and analyze via data manipulation to achieve a comprehensive assessment.
- Analyze reserve requirements and take swift action to mitigate financial risk for at-risk accounts
- Additional tasks as assigned by manager
- Travel may be required once or twice per year
- Position will be salaried full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am 5pm Eastern time.
- Position will require regular coordination with remote partner offices of Online IPS in California, Latin America and Europe.
Pay & Benefits :
Compensation is a combination of base salary, contribution towards personal health insurance and company sponsored profit sharing 401(k) plan.
Initial base salary will be commensurate with experience.
