Your New Role..
CNN seeks a talented Associate Editorial Producer to join the team in Washington, DC!
Your Role Accountabilities
The Associate Editorial Producer will be responsible for booking guests and newsmakers, and pitching stories on a regular basis.
You will work to develop relationships with publicists and sources.
The Associate Editorial Producer will handle all aspects of lining up a guest : researching potential voices, booking, securing transportation, and setting up satellite time.
Will also handle special projects as assigned.
Your Qualifications & Experience
A qualified candidate for this position must have 1-2 years as an associate editorial producer, production assistant or equivalent production experience with proven performance and experience booking high profile news guests.
Research skills are essential to this position.
Individual must be able to multi-task efficiently, execute quickly, think broadly, and have strong editorial awareness and judgment.
Knowledge of current events, key players and issues in global affairs a must.
Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills are essential to this role.
A degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, but not required.
