Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. Twin Cities
Located in Templeton amongst the oak trees, Adventist Health Twin Cities has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977.
Comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility, our team provides exceptional care in emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical and outpatient services.
Locals enjoy weekly farmers markets in downtown Templeton, farm-to-fork dining, beautiful landscapes for hiking and biking, and beach days just fifteen minutes away at Cambria and Morro Bay.
POSITION SUMMARY :
Assumes responsibility for the quality, performance improvement and accreditation activities and outcomes for the assigned market.
Duties include concurrent HAC / PSI review and analysis as well as PI of all QM data. Maintains survey readiness. Supports and participates in the Patient Safety process by coordinating individual files and trend data for issues for referral to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsible for performance improvement as it pertains to key initiatives such as, but not limited to, sepsis, mortality review, readmission, hospital acquired pressure injury and fall reduction.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Education and Work Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education / related experience : Required
- Five years' relevant experience : Preferred
- One year leadership experience : Preferred
Licenses and Certifications :
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice : Required
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) : Preferred at time of hire or achieved in 1st year of employment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Responsible for clinical quality performance and patient safety, to meet established patient safety, quality and compliance goals.
Supports programs and processes related to Quality Management based on the unique volume and services of the market. Supports Director with education to key stakeholders and leaders.
Supports transition to a High Reliability Organization through the implementation of policies, standards, indicators and evaluation techniques.
Implements policies and procedures, monitors performance, reviews metrics and reports results to leadership. Serves as a resource to clinical teams, medical staff and executives.
Maintains quality and patient safety plans that align with the organization and are relevant to the unique volumes and services in the market.
Implements processes that engage site leaders in the periodic assessment and prioritization of market quality initiatives.
Supports meaningful reports for the quality subcommittee of the board and other leadership committees.
Coordinates and assures efficient / effective quality review and data management. Analysis of practice patterns, interventions, outcomes and regulatory compliance.
Collaborates and coordinates a hospital-wide Accreditation Tracer Program for activities that aim for risk reduction / prevention in clinical practice and the care environment.
- Ensures ongoing preparedness for meeting requirements for regulatory, accreditation and licensure.
