Job Description
HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures is currently looking for an Engineering Technician. If you are outgoing, a fast learner and looking for a company where there is a chance for advancement, this is the position for you.
The position will be located in Miami, FL. In this position, the Engineering Technician may be required to :
- Identify, research and develop DER repairs on Aircraft Components.
- Make sketches and rough layouts, record and analyze data, make calculations and estimates, and report findings to the Engineer responsible for the DER development.
- Set up and operate machining equipment to be able to fabricate tooling, fixtures and parts in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Repair aircraft parts in accordance with OEM and / or FAA accepted technical data.
Requirements
Skills / Education & Experience :
- Proficient in the use of dimensional tools
- Must be able to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams
- General understanding of Component Maintenance Manuals
- Ability to read and interpret technical data
- Proficient in the use of 3D CAD Software
- Proficient in designing tools
- Must be able to use micrometers, calipers etc.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical data & follow verbal instructions
- Ability to measure, cut, or work on items with great accuracy
