is searching for a Bilingual (Spanish) Nonprofit Youth Clinician on behalf of our client, a provider of behavioral health, family support, and educational services in San Mateo, CA! This is a wonderful direct hire position offering a full-time, onsite, opportunity to join a mission-driven team!
SUMMARY
This is the perfect opportunity for a clinical professional in the mental health or social services space to make an impact serving some of the highest risk children / youth in the community.
The Youth Clinician will be bilingual in Spanish and work with to help youth achieve independence, stability, and all-around wellness and safety within the context of their culture and community using a personalized and natural support structure.
Some of the areas of support the clinician will provide are family and youth assessment, short-term, intensive family therapy, case overviews, community outreach and marketing, as well as proper case documentation.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Flexible hybrid schedule!
- Competitive pay of $85,000 to $105,000 / annual, depending on experience + bonus incentive!

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized service plans, including coordination of multiple services and treatment providers
- Conduct individual, group, couples’, family, and / or multi-family therapy utilizing therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, Narrative, Structural, Trauma Focused CBT, or other best practices
- Assumes responsibility for configuring, coordinating, and facilitating youth services, including collaboration with referring providers, probation, child welfare, school districts, Staff, and other professionals involved in a youth’s care
- Assist youth and families in assessing strengths and needs, and helps them identify strategies to meet these needs, including enhancing natural support and community resources
- Provide case management services in the interest of youth and family advocacy, secure formal resources, and coordinate care
- Execute a treatment plan that is strengths-based, with observable and measurable goals, utilizing promising and evidenced based or other best practices
- Provide psychoeducation to clients, family members, and team members
- Complete documentation, billing, referrals, and required paperwork in a timely manner
- Maintain confidential health records clients / families that are following HIPAA, insurance, and the San Mateo County Mental Health Regulations
- Perform assigned duties in accordance with Treatment Philosophy and Mission Statement
QUALIFICATIONS
- MA degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work, or related field required
- Clinician I - Clinical license eligible (Registration with BBS / BOP as an Intern) required. (e.g., PCCi, MFTi, ASW, Psychological Assistant)
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Ability to assess the strengths and needs of youth, families, and support systems.
- Knowledge of public and private community resources
- Ability to maintain billable documentation of services provided
- Demonstrated ability to work with families in a wide variety of cultural contexts and community settings. (e.g., home, school, satellite clinic, etc.)
- Experience working with children and families that have been or are involved in issues relating to abuse
- Experience with working within a variety of treatment modalities including family systems work, individual, and group therapy, etc.
