Encore Talent is seeking a ClearPass / WiFi Engineer with over 7 years of experience in implementing and supporting Aruba ClearPass solutions and WiFi networks.

This role requires deep knowledge of network design, security, and integration, emphasizing performance optimization and adherence to industry standards.

The ideal candidate will excel in implementing robust security measures and maintaining detailed documentation to support enterprise-level deployments.

MUST RESIDE IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING STATES :

Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Alabama, Missouri, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the design and support of Aruba ClearPass solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and security requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for ClearPass infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze network access control requirements, translating them into ClearPass design specifications.
  • Define and promote best practices for ClearPass deployment, configuration, and optimization, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Stay updated on ClearPass capabilities, roadmaps, and integration possibilities through collaboration with Aruba Networks and other vendors.
  • Monitor and optimize ClearPass performance, capacity, and scalability to meet evolving business needs.
  • Design and implement network segmentation strategies using ClearPass to enforce access control policies based on user roles, device types, or location.
  • Configure and manage endpoint compliance checks within ClearPass to ensure connected devices meet security and configuration requirements.
  • Ensure ClearPass solutions align with security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS) and implement controls to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop incident response procedures and protocols for ClearPass infrastructure to ensure rapid threat detection, analysis, and remediation.
  • Design and plan WiFi networks based on organizational requirements and industry best practices.
  • Plan site surveys to assess environmental factors impacting WiFi performance and coverage.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine network capacity, coverage, and scalability requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and protocols for WiFi infrastructure.
  • Stay abreast of emerging WiFi technologies, standards, and trends.
  • Design and implement robust security measures for WiFi networks, including encryption, authentication, and intrusion detection.
  • Monitor and analyze WiFi network performance to identify and address bottlenecks or issues.
  • Implement optimization strategies for improved network efficiency and user experience.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting support for WiFi-related issues.
  • Collaborate with support teams to resolve escalated incidents and ensure timely resolution.

Qualifications :

  • 8+ years of experience in network design and implementation, with a focus on Aruba ClearPass solutions.
  • Extensive experience designing and supporting Aruba ClearPass solutions in complex enterprise environments.
  • Deep understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies including TCP / IP, VLANs, WLANs, and routing / switching.
  • Strong understanding of Cisco and Aruba security features, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Aruba ClearPass, role-based access control, and dynamic segmentation.
  • Strong background in wireless network security principles, authentication methods, encryption technologies, and security compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to present highly technical solutions to senior leadership in an understandable way.
  • Aruba Certified ClearPass Associate (ACCA) or Professional (ACCP) certification preferred.
  • Experience with HP NetEdit and Aruba AirWave is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of IEEE 802.11 standards and protocols.
  • Experience with Cisco and Aruba WiFi technologies, including Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), ArubaOS, Aruba Instant, and ClearPass.
  • Proficiency in configuring and optimizing Cisco and Aruba WiFi hardware, such as Cisco Aironet Access Points, Aruba Access Points, Cisco Catalyst switches, Aruba Mobility Controllers, and AirWave.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional Wireless (CCNP Wireless) or equivalent for Cisco.
  • Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) or equivalent for Aruba.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security) or equivalent for Cisco.
  • Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP) or equivalent for Aruba.
  • Expertise in managing Cisco and Aruba networks using tools such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Aruba AirWave for monitoring and optimization.
  • Ability to seamlessly integrate Cisco and Aruba WiFi networks with existing IT infrastructure.
  • Experience ensuring interoperability with other networking technologies such as Cisco switches, Aruba Switches, Ethernet, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred.
  • Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) or equivalent preferred.
  • Aruba Certified Mobility Expert (ACMX) or higher preferred.
  • Aruba Certified Design Expert (ACDX) or equivalent preferred.
