Job Description
Serving Northwest Louisiana & East Texas, Animal Emergency Clinic and Intensive Care Facility that operates from 6pm to 8am throughout the week.
Our purpose is to serve the community's pet owners if an emergency occurs after Primary Care has closed. Our highly trained staff provides intensive care, emergency surgical procedures, and hospitalisation options.
The animal Emergency Clinic is fully equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasonography, spacious surgical facilities with monitoring equipment, in house laboratory machines, oxygen therapy, and a cat friendly ward! This all helps to provide our patients with the best quality medicine at the time of their visit.
- Receive emergency and referral cases, manage hospitalised surgical and internal medicine patients, and collaborate with general practitioners and specialists.
- Admit animals for urgent overnight care when needed.
- Examine, diagnose and treat a variety of ailments on small companion pets.
- Provide wound care including local or full anaesthesia.
- Monitor in-hospital patients a to maintain patients' health during ongoing hospitalisation.
- Provide educational advice to pet owners to ensure preventative measures are taken when needed.
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
Active Veterinary State License
USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire

Requirements
DVM or VMD Internship Trained 1+ years ER experience working after internship
