We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing manufacturing company and oversee the financial aspects of their manufacturing operations.
This company has been in business 25 years, and you can find their products nation wide. They are growing their accounting department due to consistent revenue reports and exiting future projects.
Your expertise will be crucial in :
- Maintaining the accuracy of accounting records by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions. Preparing and documenting entries related to assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses through thorough analysis of account data.
- Overseeing and balancing subsidiary accounts by verifying transactions, allocating funds, and resolving discrepancies.
- Generating comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Supporting the external audit process by preparing schedules and providing necessary information to auditors.
- Compiling financial reports for tax purposes, regulatory compliance, and stakeholders.
- Managing the general ledger and assisting in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Leading and mentoring junior accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and supporting their professional development.
- Collaborating with the Controller to analyze financial data and present insights to management.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, some professional experience in manufacturing accounting required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn various accounting software.
- In-depth understanding of finance, accounting principles, budgeting, cost accounting and GAAP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial information.
