Position Description :

Technician Level 1 for water, mold, and bio (including trauma) mitigation categories performs remediation tasks. Technicians execute task assignments as defined by the project manager.

Technicians Level 1 represents the ServiceMaster Cornerstone brand and maintains a professional appearance, punctuality, and a clean work environment and supports customers as required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Retrieves work orders / assignments, checks route for travel, ensures appropriate equipment and supplies needed for a job are loaded on the truck needed for the job, and arrives at the work site
  • Performs water / mold / bio (trauma) remediation as directed according to company procedures including but not limited to extraction, debris removal / disposition, demolition, and cleaning
  • Sets up remediation equipment on site per plans
  • Reports equipment malfunctions
  • Notifies project manager of customer or project issues as they arise
  • Maintains timesheet records
  • Conducts work assignments in a quality manner
  • Responsible for personal safety and PPE usage

Skill Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
  • Able to work independently or work with / lead a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to follow procedure instructions and direction

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job.

Incumbent must be prepared to :

  • Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods. Lifting, squatting, crawling, and crouching is required.
  • For safety reasons, use of appropriate PPE to avoid situational hazards must be used for example respirators, gloves, etc.
  • Exposure to various inside and outside working and environmental conditions
