What Are We Looking For? UCI is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all assigned UCI facilities within the Lowcountry area.
Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will assess and consider daily 1) the security of UCI assets and 2) the service to patients. What Will You Do?
- Maintain all building related systems to ensure the safety of all patients, employees, and vendors.
- Complete preventative maintenance and work orders for replacement items such as light bulbs, air filters and ceiling tiles change out, appliance repairs, painting, and carpentry.
- Assist in implementing and carrying out the preventative maintenance program established within the assigned region.
- Respond to work tickets and performs any repairs.
- Assist in maintaining the building exterior and curb appeal to include painting and assisting groundskeepers with landscaping projects.
- Interact with and assists the management team to provide a quality patient experience.
- Provide preventative maintenance and improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Do You Have What It Takes? A good candidate will bring with them :
- Certificate in trade school or equivalent work experience related to project management, facilities and / or maintenance and certification
- Valid South Carolina Driver’s License
- Six months experience to include a basic understanding of facilities-related work
- Comprehensive ability to execute both oral and written instructions, including directions from the facilities help desk
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task while ensuring proper execution of facilities job responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, and meet or exceed deadlines amid strict time constraints
- Ability to use standard powered and non-powered maintenance tools
- Ability and immediate responsiveness to travel to various work-site locations as needed
An ideal candidate would also have :
- Associate's degree in building science
- HVAC Certification
