Senior Project Manager- Office of Superintendent

This position exists primarily to represent the office of Superintendent, assisting with critical and time sensitive projects.
The Sr. Project Manager (PM) will champion the Superintendent’s vision and priorities, in support of the district’s interest.
Responsibilities will include coordination of district-wide initiatives, scheduling, travel, and timely response to stakeholder inquiries.
The PM will also be responsible for ensuring all administrative and technical aspects are accurately prepared, reported and reconciled.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ability to independently coordinate & implement large-scale projects with precision and accuracy.
- Review project plans, schedules, and specifications and prepare recommendations to the Superintendent.
- Provides exemplary customer service to KCPS stakeholders, ensuring timely and professional responses to inquiries within the office of Superintendent.
- Ability to lead presentations; effectively communicate and coordinate time sensitive projects across a diverse workforce.
- Champions culturally responsive practices and supports district-wide initiatives.
- Ability to prioritize work and produce quality products under critical deadlines.
- Develop adequate digital tools to properly maintain, share and archive correspondences related to assigned projects.
- Works collaboratively with district leadership, keeping the Superintendent apprised of competing priorities, progress, and / or growing concerns.
- Identify and prioritize time allotment to each assigned project to ensure an efficient implementation process for each assigned project.
- Maintains adequate recordkeeping to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Performs a wide range of administrative functions, scheduling, budgeting and reconciliations, requisitions, board items, travel, etc.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Yes (admin).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Three years’ experience as EXEC admin.
- Ability to work flexible schedule.
- Strong computer and software skills.
- High level of competency in oral and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Project Management Certified
- Prior experience in urban school district
