Position Summary :

Provides occupational therapy specialty services to patients needing to develop, recover and maintain occupational skills.

The Occupational Therapist assesses the functional needs of the patients and sets appropriate goals for that patient; provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as needed;

and reassesses patient's functional needs and adjusts care plan as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcome. Specialty needs for Level II may possibly include hand therapy with dynamic splint preparation, pelvic health, voice and swallow, psychiatric rehab, perinatal, lymphedema, and industrial.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

Minimum Education

x Master's degree x Preferred Required Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Minimum Work Experience

Required : combination of 3 or more specialty courses and at least 5 years of experience performing specialty with a regular patient caseload.

Preferred : board certification in specialty

Basic Life Support (BCLS) required within 30 days of hire Required Skills

Licenses :

AZ OT licenses required on hire

NBC OT certification required on hire

Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card underway on first day of hire
