Position Responsibilities
As Director, ESG you will collaborate on a team that leverages proprietary research and analytics, a best-practice mindset, executional excellence, and a proven model to advise clients on strategic communications with a goal of maximizing investor understanding and impact.
You will work closely with the SVP, IR Advisory& ESG to develop strategy, conduct research and data analysis, and execute toward positioning Corbin as a leader in Sustainability Advisory.
Your specific responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Support the execution of the overall strategy of Corbin’s ESG Advisory Practice
Serve as an expert and advise clients on Sustainability / ESG strategy, communication and best practices
Leverage market intelligence, data and analytics, and ESG expertise to advise clients in a highly strategic, value creative-manner
Work directly with internal teams to further enhance Corbin’s ESG capabilities, including market research and thought leadership on this rapidly evolving landscape
Extend brand awareness by representing Corbin at key industry conferences as well as through public speaking engagements and published thought leadership
Develop and present recommendations considering an organization’s unique profile and leveraging our research, insights, and best practices
Demonstrate the skill to respectively challenge and guide our clients to think differently based on our proven methodology, philosophy, and experience
Support Corbin’s business development efforts and drive sales and innovation
Collaborate with and lend expertise to the Market Research group on industry-leading research and publications
Contribute to enabling a passionate, hard-working, embracing, positive, entrepreneurial team culture
Qualifications
- Subject matter expertise, including on emerging trends, best practices, reporting frameworks / standard setter methodologies and investment trends
- Capital markets experience / expertise and focus on opportunities to express economic materiality in Sustainability strategy
- Passion for the subject matter coupled with strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
- Insight-driven, quantitative mindset and service leadership approach
- Deep strategy development, execution and team-building capabilities
- Significant client relationship building, influencing, and management experience
- Tangible understanding of how ESG factors impact the investment process
- Knowledge and effective leverage of the full range of channels to drive marketplace positioning for proprietary content
- Proven track record in planning, leading and executing sophisticated programs and projects in high growth environments
- Excellent organizational, as well as written and verbal communication skills; high comfort level with presenting to executive leadership and boards of directors
- A desire to succeed in delivering exceptional results
- 5+ years of experience in ESG / sustainability / CSR required; experience in corporate sustainability / ESG leadership role preferred
- BA required; MBA in finance, economics, marketing or a related field preferred
