The Mechanical Engineer II for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for design changes and updates for the deployed Immunoassay instrument fleet.

This position is part of the Immunoassay R&D Engineering located in Chaska MN, and will be an On-site position, which is 3 days onsite and 2 days the flexibility to work from home.

You will be a part of the R&D Mechanical group and report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager responsible for the development of diagnostic instruments.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

Design solutions to complex mechanical problems

Work with cross-functional groups to accomplish design changes

Understand complicated electromechanical devices that handle diagnostic samples

Support a variety of diagnostic instruments during their life cycle

The essential requirements of the job include :

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years experience in a related field OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience in a highly regulated industry

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in :

Medical device development engineering

Skilled in the systems engineering approach
