Medical Assistant (Urology Practice)

In this role, you will :
- Float between all of our Queens locations
- Measure and record the patient's vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations.
- Sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
- Collect and process lab specimens.
- Perform phlebotomies (blood draws).
- Record accurate patient information during patient intake.
- Assist Providers during visits with examinations and all office procedures.
- Perform diagnostic testing after receiving certification to perform office diagnostic testing under the direct supervision of a Physician or APP supervision.
- Prepping of EMR office visit notes, and data transfer of patient HPI into the EMR.
- Assisting providers and other support staff in the data entry process of the office visit notes and EMR during patient sessions and in preparation for future patient sessions
- Responsible for the daily opening closing procedure protocols.
- Maintaining cleanliness organization of the exam rooms bathrooms.
- Stocking supplies in patient exam rooms & amp; other clinical areas, daily.
- Provide Inventory Lists for the Office Managers on a weekly basis.
- Provide training support for fellow employees new hires.
- Other duties as assigned.
We require :
- Must have a Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to accept direction and work within a team concept.
- Being cordial to patients and fellow staff members.
- Bi-lingual, English / Spanish a plus.
- Proficient in Word / Excel.
- Monday Friday shifts with flexible work hours.
- Must be able to cover other Progressive Urology Division locations for scheduled PTO & amp; callouts
Hours : Monday Friday with Flex work hours
Salary up to $24 per hour.
