We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our team in our Shreveport, LA . In this role you will lead and manage all aspects of utility construction for various types of telecom projects overseeing site planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation.

The Role

• Leads and manages all aspects of utility construction for various types of telecom projects
• Responsible for overseeing site planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation
• Supervises and coordinates onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes and safety regulations
• Conducts regular site inspections to monitor progress, identifies potential issues or risks and implements corrective actions as needed
• Manages relationships with external contractors, vendors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project requirements and company standards
• Prepares and maintains accurate project documentation, including progress reports, construction drawings, permits and change orders
• Communicates effectively with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones and budgetary considerations
• Implements and enforces best practices for construction quality control, safety protocol and environmental compliance
• Works a flexible schedule with varied hours; some evenings and weekends as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or relevant field of study; or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of total relevant experience including significant experience in a supervisory / leadership role
• OSHA 10 certification a plus
• Knowledge and prior work experience in telecom construction industry - Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, map reading, etc.
• Knowledge and experience with aerial and underground construction
• Practical knowledge of Network operations and associated inventory for both RF and fiber networks
• Experience in estimating, bidding projects and change order preparation
• Problem-solving and like to troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn custom software

• Ability to work a flexible schedule with varied hours; some evenings and weekends as needed
• Valid driver’s license
