Position Overview
WhirlWind Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced Principal Network Architect who shall provide network architecture and design services while ensuring secure, reliable, and low latency networking .
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Provides high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff.
- Develops architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines in accordance with the organization's strategy and goals.
- Develops strategy of system and the design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy.
- Advises on selection of technological purchases regarding processing, data storage, data access, and applications development.
- Sets standards for the client / server relational database structure for the organization (SQL, ORACLE, SYBASE, etc.).
- Advises of feasibility of potential future projects to management. Tracks current plans.
- Monitors and reviews the success of systems and ensures efficiency and effectiveness.
Education
- Minimum BS / BA degree in related field (or equivalent certification, or years of experience)
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Preferred
- Must have at least one certification from the list below :
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty
- Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified : Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
- Microsoft Certified : Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert
