THE OPPORTUNITY

MasterControl is building and bringing to market our next generation digital products. Facilitating these new and innovative product functionalities is our Advanced Data and Process Technology platform (ADAPT) where all next-gen applications will be built.

ADAPT is comprised of highly extensible collection of independent, centralized microservices that communicate with each other over APIs and a reusable set of core user experiences.

ADAPT has been built from the ground up to scale across multiple customer facing web-based applications and facilitate rapid development of features.

We are looking to add a rockstar Senior Product Manager to the ADAPT platform teams. This product manager will play a pivotal role in the success of our next generation of products while working closely with other Product and Architecture team members.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience bringing new technical features and web-based SaaS products to market.

Exposure to service-based product management, enterprise software, and B2B software is highly preferable. Experience with REST APIs and service-oriented architecture is a must.

Exposure to life sciences software, including Quality Management and Manufacturing Execution System solutions is a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use a customer-centric approach to define the best-in-class solutions that fit our customers’ needs. Become the undisputed expert on customer voice.
  • Understand and be able to communicate all three facets of product development : Why-What-How. Must be able to focus on both the tactical and the strategic level with a special emphasis on understanding the How of the solution with an eye towards scalability across the entire product suite at MasterControl.
  • Drive complex, technical cross-product initiatives, collecting requirements from multiple products and product teams to ensure application capabilities are supported by the microservices components in ADAPT.
  • Drive adoption of core services and experiences through early collaboration and thoughtful release planning, in service of maintaining a consistent and rich user experience from day 1 for all products on ADAPT
  • Participate in ongoing collaboration with customers, internal stakeholders, Product Managers, Product Designers, and Product Marketing to evolve and execute on our product strategy.
  • Articulate technical strategies and concepts to non-technical individuals in easily understandable terms using your excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Present with confidence at company meetings, customer conferences, industry events, and other venues.

  • Inspire enthusiasm and confidence in our technical counterparts and stakeholders as you share your vision for the future of our purpose-built centralized microservices based platform.
  • Work effectively in multidisciplinary teams with engineering managers, developers, architects, and designers. Use your prior experience working with bounded context-based product teams to effectively drive forward development with little to no friction.

Must have sufficient technical understanding to help define API requirements and lead related conversations.

  • Proficiency in using appropriate agile product development tools to manage the work of one or more development teams is preferred.
  • Serve as a mentor to other product team members, especially to those who are not as technical.
  • Set and continuously measure product KPIs and other sources of data to extract performance metrics, monitor product health and make data driven decisions
