Job Summary :
As a Permit Technician, you'll play a crucial role in Highland City's building permit process. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and processing permit applications, scheduling inspections, calculating fees, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process building permits and ensure compliance with city codes.
- Schedule and coordinate inspections with the City Inspector.
- Calculate fees for permits, connections, and inspections.
- Provide exceptional customer service to contractors and residents.
- Maintain accurate records and files.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to learn and use various software applications.
- Must become a certified Permit Technician within 6 months.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Valid Utah driver's license.
Work Environment :
You'll work in an office setting with a focus on administrative tasks.
