Assistant Superintendent - Construction Join a great employee-owned Company with an even greater culture! Albion General Contractors is searching for an Assistant Superintendent .
The Assistant Superintendent will be key in providing initial and ongoing support to ensure client satisfaction and seamless project execution in the field.
ROLE SUMMARY The Assistant Superintendent must be able to efficiently perform all assigned activities associated with the field performance of contracts awarded to the company.
May be assigned to work smaller projects within the scope of a larger project. Must have a thorough understanding of the building construction process, quality control and general safety knowledge.
Participates in construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Assist in the coordination of all construction-related activities.
Be able to identify potential issues on the project and utilize resources to find resolution. Proactively escalate where needed.
Assume responsibility for productivity of subcontractors, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
Complete, maintain, and submit all required reports, logs, punch lists, etc. associated with project. Individuals should have solid leadership skills and be able to communicate effectively with the subcontractors and all parties involved.
Ensure all safety standards are communicated to and adhered to by all personnel onsite. Must be willing to travel if needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 2+ years of hands-on experience working in a field role in the industrial construction industry.
Trade experience considered. Prefer commercial construction experience but will consider prior work history. Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction documents.
Manage multiple subcontractors on project. Maintain project schedule and ensure materials are on site. Knowledge of construction process.
Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Raken preferred Preferred 10-Hour or 30-Hour OSHA certified The list of functions above is not intended to be exhaustive and all inclusive.
