Job Title : Technical Writer

Location : Denver, CO

The Technical Writer is responsible for working with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirement and then producing high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products.

You will join a team of talented employees and work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and customer operations team members to make our products easier to use.

Job Type : Full-time, exempt

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for Kaseware
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all technical documentation
  • Write clear and concise explanations of complex technical concepts
  • Develop and maintain document templates, style guides, and other resources to ensure consistency and quality in all documentation
  • Continuously update and improve existing documentation to reflect software updates and changes
  • Conduct thorough research to gather information and verify technical accuracy of documentation
  • Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather information and address any documentation needs
  • Use industry-standard tools and techniques to create user-friendly and visually appealing technical documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing to constantly improve documentation processes
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to company branding and style guidelines
  • Proactively identify and suggest improvements to existing documentation and processes
  • Collaborate with other technical writers to maintain consistency and quality across all documentation
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and see them through to completion

Required Education and Experience :

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related disciplines

Required Skills & Experience :

  • 6+ years of proven experience in writing technical documentation
  • Understand and explain complex technical concepts
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented

Preferred Experience :

Training experience in public safety, law enforcement, CAD, and / or RMS

Other Requirements :

Language : English

Salary Range : $70,000-$90,000 per year
