The Role :

Our Communications Platform squad, part of the Patient pillar, is dedicated to empathetically engaging with patients across various channels.

We provide essential messaging, including billing information, appointment notifications, financial aid details, and more.

Cedar is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Communications Platform squad. In this role, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers to enhance our patient engagement platform.

You will play a crucial part in building tools that ensure accurate, timely, and informative communications to improve patient experiences and reduce operational costs for providers.

In this position you will :

  • Develop and Maintain Scalable Solutions : Build, test, and maintain scalable code across the stack to ensure robust and efficient patient communications.
  • Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with product, design, and integration partners to deliver new features and enhancements that improve patient engagement and satisfaction.
  • Enhance Communication Reliability : Create tools and infrastructure that improve the reliability and clarity of patient communications, reducing support cases and provider call volumes.
  • Optimize Communication Strategies : Implement personalized communication strategies based on patient circumstances, ensuring communications are clear, relevant, and timely.
  • Monitor and Resolve Issues : Develop robust monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve communication gaps, failures, and inaccuracies.

What we look for in an ideal candidate :

  • Technical Expertise : 2+ years of professional software development experience with experience in at least one major coding language
  • Strong computer science fundamentals : a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or similar experience
  • Team Player : Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Compensation Range and Benefits :

  • Salary / Hourly Rate Range* : $145,000 - $161,625
  • This role is equity eligible
