Responsibilities :
CAPS Aviation is a FAA Certified 145 Repair Station for safety equipment. We focus mainly on the repair and overhaul of life rafts, life vests, and first aid kits.
You will rotate though stages in our overhaul process. Stage A - Opening / Distribution / Verification of Information. Stage B - Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) testing and battery replacement.
Stage C - Air Retention Test / Preliminaries. Stage D - Service Bulletins / Locator Light Replacement / Repairs. KITS - Replacement of expired parts within the survival kit.
BOTTLES - Breakdown / Rebuilding of pressurized bottle assemblies. PACK / PREP - Folding and preparation of inflatable. FINALIZING - Vacuum Sealing / Final QC.
VEST / FAK - Inspection process start to finish.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Exceptional ability to pay attention to detail
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of power / hand tools and how to operate them
- Ability to perform basic mathematic equations
- Strong communication skills in English : both written and verbal
- Excellent reading comprehension skills
- Capacity to work in a fast paced environment and work with sense of urgency
- Multitasking ability
- Complete and pass performance audits
- Work overtime as needed
- Must be able to assist in heavy lifting
- Must be able to pass drug test to onboard, as well as randomly
- Must have a valid California identification
- Must be able to pass a background check
