Job Description
Custom Home Medic is seeking a full time Project Estimator for our office in Carmel Indiana. Custom Home Medic is a leading contractor for interior and exterior construction / remodeling in the following areas : bathrooms, kitchens, basement finish outs, exteriors, and much much more.
This full time position reports to the Head Estimator and works closely with project managers, lead carpenters, and other estimators.
Job Duties
- Analyzing blue prints
- Perform field surveys and measurements for designs
- Contact prospective clients
- Preparing accurate labor and material takeoff quantities, including bid documents and proposals in compliance with project specifications
- Monitoring past bid results to maximize contracts obtained
- Reviewing contracts for compliance with proposals
- Work closely with other estimators, field superintendents and installation managers to insure contract profitability
Education and Experience
- 2 Year Prior Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience and proficiency in estimating software including but not limited to (Co Construct)
- Experience in residential and light commercial remodel projects
- Strong communication skills (communicating with general contractors and other customers)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents (plans and specifications)

We assist all of our sales staff with design services that include 3D Renderings, 3D Virtual Tours, Construction Drawings and Plans to aid in the sale of their project.
All labor / material rates and costs are provided by Custom Home Medic.
