Job Description

The Divisional Fleet and Equipment Manager role will champion AWP’s core values and mission of protecting our customers’ people, business, and time.

The Divisional Fleet and Equipment Manager will engage with corporate and senior divisional leadership in managing the day-to-day fleet and equipment operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide management and guidance to the fleet and equipment operations within the assigned area.
  • Works directly with local and regional management to achieve operational targets and goals.
  • Oversee within the assigned division Corporate Fleet and Equipment Programs, such as Repair & Maintenance, Availability Status, Replacement Planning and Auditing of Fleet and Equipment.
  • Promote, monitor, and educate divisional management of local and federal fleet and equipment regulations.
  • Engaging in strategic planning and decision making related to maintenance, repair, and replacement of fleet and equipment.
  • Evaluate and negotiate fleet service and supply agreements with vendors and suppliers.
  • Assist in recruitment of department related employees, as needed, and provide for their continuous professional training and development.
  • Prepare and communicate reports with senior leadership.
  • Assist the corporate fleet team in managing the fuel card and GPS program.
  • Maintain asset branding procedures.
  • Research, develop and implement new procedures and processes.
  • Maintain relationships with outside vendors as needed.
  • Assist in safety compliance and other compliance-related activities as they pertain to the department.
  • Collaborate with the safety department to ensure all vehicles meet safety standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for the supporting team according to organization guidelines

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience or 4-year degree in business related field
  • Five (5) years of fleet and equipment mechanical knowledge preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication and coaching skills
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and Salesforce

Compensation : $85-100K + AIP 10% bonus + Company Vehicle

The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

A bonus and / or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
