HTI is hiring Laboratory operators for a brand-new multi-metal recycling startup in Augusta, GA. Aurubis is the leading provider of non-ferrous metals and one of the largest copper recyclers worldwide.
This German-based company is known for their commitment to environmental sustainability, diversity, and their employees.
With plans to be fully operational in mid-2024, this facility is expected to become a major player in the North American supply chain and a significant employer in the greater Augusta area.
These are Entry Level, Direct Hire Positions paying up to $24.00 Per Hour depending on experience + $1.50 Per Hour Shift Differential.

- 12 Paid Holidays Responsibilities Laboratory Operator :
- Conduct laboratory tests in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment / tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
- Prepare and analyze samples using a variety of techniques and instrumentation.
- Record and maintain accurate laboratory records, including test results, equipment maintenance, and calibration records.
- Follows performance measurement & KPI tracking for operative responsible area and establishes corrective actions if necessary.
Qualifications Laboratory Operator :
- Responsible to achieve set lead times for Laboratory processes.
- Laboratory experience, ideally in a non-ferrous metallurgical environment.
- Experience with laboratory safety and regulatory compliance.
- Technical expertise in laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Proven work experience in calibrating and operating laboratory equipment.
- Experience with basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, such as those from the FDA, EPA, or OSHA, as well as experience in maintaining compliance with these requirements.
