Job Description :
A busy sole practitioner in Hollywood, FL is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full-time Legal Assistant. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in criminal and / or family law and be proficient in e-filing procedures.
This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Hours : Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
Key Responsibilities :
Answering and directing phone calls professionally
Scheduling and managing appointments and court dates
Preparing and drafting legal documents, notices, and correspondence
Performing data entry and maintaining accurate client records
Scanning, filing, and organizing legal documents
Assisting with e-filing and other court-related procedures
Performing general office duties and providing administrative support as needed
Qualifications :
Prior experience in criminal and / or family law preferred
Proficiency in e-filing and familiarity with court systems
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
