Job Role : Functional SME - FX Payments with ISO 20022 implementation experience

Summary : We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager with expertise in FX (foreign exchange) and ISO 20022 to lead a critical initiative within our organization.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving the successful implementation of ISO 20022 standards in our FX operations, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with industry requirements.
Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities related to project management, stakeholder engagement, and technical expertise in FX and ISO 20022 standards.
The Role
Responsibilities :
Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of the ISO 20022 implementation project for FX operations. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
Develop a comprehensive project plan and ensure alignment with organizational strategies.
Leverage your deep understanding of FX trading and ISO 20022 messaging standards to drive the implementation of ISO 20022 in FX workflows.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure smooth integration of ISO 20022 messages within FX trading systems and processes.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including FX trading desks, technology teams, business analysts, and relevant industry bodies, to gather requirements, communicate project milestones, and address concerns related to ISO 20022 adoption in FX.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze FX trading requirements and align them with ISO 20022 messaging standards.
Define message structures, data elements, and mappings to ensure seamless interoperability between FX systems and ISO 20022 messaging formats.
Establish project governance frameworks, including steering committees, working groups, and regular project status reporting.
Provide clear visibility into project progress, risks, and issues related to ISO 20022 implementation in FX.
- Drive change management initiatives related to ISO 20022 adoption, facilitating training sessions, workshops, and communications to ensure a smooth transition for FX teams and stakeholders.
- Oversee comprehensive testing activities to validate ISO 20022 messaging integration within FX systems. Define test scenarios, coordinate user acceptance testing, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure that the implementation of ISO 20022 in FX operations aligns with regulatory requirements, market practices, and industry guidelines.
Stay updated with regulatory developments related to ISO 20022 messaging in FX.
Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and innovation in FX operations through the adoption of ISO 20022.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and best practice adoption within the project team and FX operations.
You are :
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on FX trading operations and ISO 20022 messaging standards.
- Deep understanding of FX trading workflows, including spot, forward, and derivative trading, and FX post-trade processes.
- Expertise in ISO 20022 messaging standards, including knowledge of message types, data elements, and usage within financial services.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading complex projects in the financial industry.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities, with the capacity to engage with diverse stakeholders across FX trading, technology, and compliance functions.
- Familiarity with FX trading systems, trade lifecycle, and settlement processes.
- Relevant certifications in project management or financial services are a plus.
