Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer
Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer with aerospace experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, particularly in aircraft systems, and will be proficient in 3D CAD design using SolidWorks, structural analysis, finite element analysis, and certification processes.
This individual will play a crucial role in developing aircraft in-flight communications kits, assisting in composite material certification efforts, and conducting structural analyses using Femap / NASTRAN.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop aircraft in-flight communications kits.
- Assist in the certification process of composite materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform structural analysis using Femap / NASTRAN to evaluate the integrity and performance of aircraft components.
- Conduct finite element analysis to optimize designs and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in Damage Tolerance & Fatigue assessments to ensure the reliability and safety of aircraft structures.
- Implement ARINC 791 practices to meet industry requirements for airborne equipment installation.
- Liaise with FAA ACO's and / or ODA's to facilitate certification processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD design software, particularly SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis principles and finite element analysis techniques.
- Experience with certification processes and standards in the aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with composite materials and their applications in aircraft structures.
- Knowledge of Damage Tolerance & Fatigue principles is preferred.
- Understanding of ARINC 791 practices and their implementation.
- Experience working with FAA ACO's and / or ODA's is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
