General Superintendent - Podium Highrise Mixed Use Buildings
Position Overview : The General Superintendent will oversee all field operations for podium high-rise mixed-use building projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in managing complex construction projects, particularly those involving both residential and commercial components.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Management : Oversee all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction through project closeout.
- Leadership : Lead, mentor, and manage on-site construction teams, including subcontractors, foremen, and field staff.
- Scheduling : Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring that all milestones are met.
- Quality Control : Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
- Safety Management : Promote and enforce a safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Budget Management : Monitor project budgets, control costs, and report financial performance to senior management.
- Client Relations : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience : Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role overseeing podium Highrise mixed-use projects.
- Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Certifications : OSHA 30-hour certification, First Aid / CPR certification preferred.
- Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards specific to podium Highrise mixed-use buildings.
