JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS
Description
This is a part-time position (16-34 hours per week) covering multiple ambulatory sites. No evenings, holidays or call. Some Saturdays may be required.
Radiology candidates who accept a part-time or full-time position with University Hospitals are eligible for a sign-on bonus of $10,000 (for full-time) or $5,000 (for part-time).
Eligible positions include : CT Tech, MRI, Mammography, Mobile Van Mammography, Multi-Modality, Nuclear Med Tech, Radiographer, Sonographer and Special Procedures

What you will do
- Provide quality sonographic images in a timely manner.
- Assures a safe and clean environment.
- Maintains knowledge of technical skills.
- Successfully completes ultrasound scans.
- Answers the phone and completes documentation appropriately.
- Collaborates effectively with staff / co-workers.
- Demonstrates age-specific knowledge.
- Adheres to hospital safety standards.
- Perform, follow protocol, and maintain competency for High Level Disinfection procedures.
- Take responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
- Provide age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics.
Additional Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications
Education
RDMS and RVT certified (Required)
Work Experience
One year experience in scanning Abdominal, Vascular, Gynecology and OB / GYN (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures (Required)
- Basic computer knowledge. (Required)
- Knowledge of various types of ultrasound equipment. (Required)
- Basic knowledge of oxygen tanks, suction machines and IVAC pumps. (Required)
- Knowledge of computer stored images (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and / or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) (Required) and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
