Job Purpose
We are looking for a detail-oriented technical project manager to oversee all project operations from inception to execution.
The project manager is responsible for maintaining budgets, enforcing deadlines and supervising team members. This position will be part time with 20 hours a week.
Work hours will be M-F between 7 : 30am-5pm.
To be successful as a project manager you must be highly organized. A good project manager is able to multitask successfully under pressure.
You will be working closely with your team members to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.
Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans.
Duties and Responsibilities
The job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :
- Create project plans with relevant team members.
- Supervise team members and ensure that deadlines are followed.
- Maintain the project budget.
- Enforce health and safety protocol.
- Prepare progress reports for senior management.
- Identify the resources needed for the project and source these materials.
- Oversee the implementation of project improvements.
- Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
- Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
- Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
- Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule
- Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.
- Identifying and developing new opportunities with clients.
- Obtaining customer acceptance of project deliverables.
- Managing customer satisfaction within the project transition period.
- Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- ERP project oversight.
Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience :
- A bachelor’s degree or master's degree in a related field.
- 3 years of experience in project management or a related field.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities :
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Experience as a Construction, IT, or ERP project manager.
- Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
- Excellent leadership abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent computer literacy skills.
- Ability to problem-solve under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
- Able to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Understanding of ERP implementation.
- Budget management experience.
