About this position
Provides assistance and support to the surgeon and operative team to ensure a safe environment, equipment functions properly, adheres to surgical concepts and infection control principles for the customer who may include : neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults or older adults.
The Surgical Technologist (CST) works under the supervision of the registered nurse.
Requirements
Education
Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent.
Experience
- Previous Operating room experience preferred.
- Customer service skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize.
- Communication and Interpersonal skills
Licensure / Certification
Certified Surgical Technologist(CST) through governing body, National Board Surgical Technologists (NBST), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT);
or obtained within 12 months of hire
- Community Standard
- BLS certification required at time of hire- NMHC Standard
