Job Description
SUMMARY
To provide support to new and existing work within the business line.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Test and inspect materials, parts, and products at various stages of production process to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
- May be responsible for operating mechanical and electrical test equipment to check apparatus for conformance to standard requirements.
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and previous years of related experience. Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Selects products for tests at specific stages in production process, records test data, evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Works with moderate supervision / guidance, organizes own work to meet agreed upon deadlines.

At a minimum a QC Inspector should have PT and VT Certifications. (Liquid Penetrant Testing / Visual Testing), having those certifications as well as a CWI.

- Welding Knowledge Background
- CAWI (Certified Associate Welding Inspector) (In training to become a CWI) (this is what most companies do)
- CWI (Certified Welding Inspector)
