Job Title : Engineering Technician
Job Description
- Test, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair system assemblies and sub-components in accordance with established procedures and / or engineering assembly diagrams using hand tools and standard / custom troubleshooting tools.
- Responsibilities include electrical panel fabrication and wiring per engineering assembly drawings / schematics, plus integration of computers and software as required.
- Use hand tools such as wire / cable cutting / stripping, wire / cable crimpers, and soldering, as well as assembly, cutting, drilling, and tapping mechanical assemblies as needed.
- Assemble sub-components including pulsers, derandomizers, and other special electronic assemblies to provide a turnkey customer solution.
- Test instruments for resistance, voltage, frequency, current, and other characteristics using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, counters, computers, and other specialized test equipment in accordance with engineering procedures.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, repair, or replacement of defective components in instruments using schematics, hand tools, and soldering / de-soldering equipment, computers, and other specialized test equipment.
- Disassemble instruments using hand tools and examine parts for defects. Maintain QA records of repair, calibration, and testing of instruments.

Work Environment
Supporting the systems engineering group by working with engineers to create and test systems. This is a hands-on role with a mix of testing in the lab and building panels per engineering designs.
You will work alongside 4 other technicians in the group. Work hours are 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm, Monday to Friday, with the option of working overtime.
